the unseen valley
whispers—

weeping willows
reach for
forgotten laughing waters
​
crooked creek
trickles
​
wildfire smoke rises—
​
city smoke rises
chanting rises
unrest rises
​
I rise
​
travel
​
traverse
unsafe valleys—
​
then enter
unsafe cities
​
raise a sign
​
pound a drum
pound a drum
pound a drum
